Drive the Formula 1 Car
You have to beat all 24 races in the Circuit mode first. Now go to the
track select screen and press the Z-Button four times (Z, Z, Z, Z). You
should hear a horn. You can now choose the car at the car selection
screen.
Note: You can't have all three extra cars at once. You can only choose
the Formula 1 racer or the Hotrod at once unless you turn off the code
by entering it again.
Secret Tunnel
Level 2: Drive through the course as usual until you come to the
free-way overpass that can be jumped. Now, instead of jumping down to
the road beneath angle the car so that it is going from right to left.
If you go off the free-way just right you'll fly across the gap to the
other side of the freeway where a secret loop and two keys await.
Once you've made it you'll be treated to a red loop of endless
possibilities
Pappy Land
Pappy Land, a secret stunt course hidden in track 6, is located at the
bottom of one of the many mountains in the level. To find it, follow the
pathway which passes a white citadel (at top of mountain) and then leads
into the dirt path which, if taken wrong, can send cars barreling over
the edge of the cliff. Pappy Land is located directly over the
mountain's cliff facing away from the citadel. It's at the bottom of the
mountain right next to the ocean, so be careful making the trip down.
Inside the secret cave is Pappy Land, an immense setup of jumps, loops
and walls
Attempt to Resurrect in Place
Setup screen: Hold Z, then press and hold C-left, then C-right. continue to hold the Z button and release the C buttons. Press and hold C-right then C-left while pressing the Z button. A small R with a line through it will appear if the code is entered correctly.
Now when players crash they will be resurrected in place and not miles
away.
A great code for those situations that require multiple attempts
Auto-abort Disable
At the Setup screen: press C-Up, C-Up, C-Up, C-Up (quickly). A small icon with a "00.06" will appear along the bottom of the screen if the code is entered correctly.
No more annoying pick-me-ups where they aren't welcomed
Change Back Tire Size
From car select screen: press and hold C-Right, then press and hold C-left, release both buttons. Then press and hold C-Left and then press and hold C-Right. Then release both buttons. Repeat this code to change to other sizes.
The back tires can change in size, ranging from tiny to gigantic
Change Front Tire Size
From car select screen: Press and hold C-Left, Then press and hold C-Right, release both C buttons. Then press and hold C-Right, Then press and hold C-Left, then release both buttons. Repeat the codes to change the tire size.
Change Gravity
From Setup screen: Holding Z, press UP, Down on the control stick. Then let go of Z and press on the analog stick
UP, DOWN, UP DOWN.
Gravity can be changed again and again by repeating the process. If you entered the code correctly you should see a weight symbol. To make it heavy enter the code once. To make it heavier enter it twice. To make it light enter it three times. A little weight symbol should appear if you did it correctly.
Who says you need a cape to fly?
Change Viewing Distance
Hold L and press up or down on the control stick.
You can zoom so far out that your car turns micro cool.
Cycle Random High Score Names
At the Fast Times or Best Laps records screens, hit: L, R, L, R, L, R, L, R.
Now the computer generated names will be cycled around.
OK, so this one probably isn't going to impress your friends, but hey, you take the boring with the exciting.
Disable Car Collisions
From Setup screen: LEFT, and hold RIGHT-(hold C-Right), and release both buttons C-Up, C-Left, C-Down, Z
Now you can drive right through an opponent.
Enable Foggy Night
At the options screen during gameplay select 'extreme fog' with all four
C buttons held down. This will give gamers the impression of playing
through races at night.
Try playing through the courses at night for more challenge
Fog Color
At the car select screen hold Z and press C-Down, C-Down, C-Down.
This code changes the color of the fog in the game.
No Game Timer
This turns off the game timer in Rush, leaving the courses completely
free to explore.
Setup screen: Hold Z, then press and hold the C-Down, then press and hold C-Up Next hold the Z button but release the C buttons. Then press and hold C-Up, Press and hold C-Down. Then release everything. A little clock witha line through it should appear.
Turn Car into Mine
Note: All cones show up as mines, too.
If car is a mine and runs into another vehicle it will blow up.
From car select screen: press C-Right, press C-Right, press Z, press C-Down, press C-Up, Z, press C-Left, press C-Left
THIS IS ONLY FOR VIEWING PRUPOSES, IT WILL NOT BE VIEWED IN RACES.
Turn Off Track Textures
From Setup Screen: (Press and hold C-Right)- press and hold L, then release both buttons, Z, (C-Right)-L, Z
This turns off most of the textures in the game.
A small checkered pattern should appear if entered correctly.

Change Car Size
From car select screen: C-Down, C-Up, C-Up, C-Down (quickly)
This code allows players to change the size of their driving machine
Drive the Cab
Acquiring half the keys on any course in a regular race will unlock the
cab. Note: Keys can be saved using the memory pak. Six to eight keys are
hidden in each track. Hidden cars are exclusive to the track in which
they have been unlocked.
Acquiring half the keys in a regular race unlocks the secret cab
Drive the Hot-rod
Acquiring all the keys on any course in a regular race will unlock the
hot-rod. Note: Keys can be saved using the memory pak. Six to eight keys
are hidden in each track. Hidden cars are exclusive to the track in
which they have been unlocked.
Once all they keys for a course are obtained the hotrod is unlocked
Turn Cones into Mines
From Setup screen: L, R, L, R, L, R (quickly).
This code turns all the cones in San Francisco Rush into huge mines that
blow up anything that touches them.
Better watch out for those mines. Unless, of course, you don't mind
exploding in a fiery death
Turn Tracks Upside-down
From Setup screen: Up, Right, Down, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left.
This code enables players to race the game upside down.
Tag Mode
To enter this code hit the abort button during the countside sequence at the start of a 2-player practice game. The timer will be set to five minutes. When you're IT, your timer is running. IT must tag the other player to stop his timer and make the other player IT. The newly IY player will resurrect in place, causing a delay and giving the former IT time to escape. Player 2 is always IT first when time runs out, "Game Over" shows until someone presses Start.
Make car on fire
At the car selection screen hold top c and press z four times your car will be on fire enter it again and see what happens.
Regular Alcatraz Code:
1. Complete a Circuit Mode and receive an ending with the F1 car.
2. Enter the "One Race" mode and go to the Car Select screen.
3. Hold Left C and press the Z Button. Release both buttons and press
Left on the Control Pad/Stick.
4. Back out (press B several times) to the Main Menu and enter the Setup
screen.
5. Hold Up C and press the Z Button. Release both buttons and press Up.
6. Back out to the Main Menu, then re-enter the "One Race" mode and go
to the Track Select screen.
7. Hold Right C and press the Z Button. Release both buttons and press
Right.
8. Choose a track and enter the Car Select screen and hold Down C and
press the Z Button. Release both buttons and press Down, L, R.
9. If you entered the code correctly, you will hear a trumpeting noise.
10. Back up one screen to the Track Select screen and scroll through the
tracks to see the island of Alcatraz.
Note: Once the code has been entered, the track can be used in any mode.
Alternate method using a Password:
Use this version if you haven't completed a Circuit.
1. Go to the Circuit Mode and select "Just Play." Highlight "Enter Code"
and press the A Button. Enter the following code:

2. After entering the code, select "Continue Circuit" and enter the
race. Allow the timer to expire.
3. After viewing the credits, press Start to return to the Main Menu,
then follow Steps 1 through 10 above.
